Image Downloader to Download Pictures and Photos

While downloading entire websites is great when you want everything, there can be times where you only want to:

• Download all images, photos and pictures, e.g. from a thumbnail gallery.
• Download all videos, e.g. tutorials on do it yourself.
• Download all PDF files, e.g. manuals or similar on computers or software.
• Or similar, i.e. downloading all files of a specific type from a website.

You will often find such requirements described as bulk image downloader, mass image downloader or similar. However, to do this using the A1 Website Download tool is simple: Just remove [-] the entire list of file extensions in Output filters and add [+] the ones you want.

Infact, since having A1 Website Download function as an image downloader (or any kind of specific file type downloader) is a common task, you can do it all with a few mouseclicks using the Quick preset... button before starting the download.

When the website download has finished, you can immediately view all the downloaded files presented in a matter that match the website structure you downloaded the files from:



Note: If the website has had images hosted on external domains, you can find them presented by clicking the External tab.

If you want to keep using A1 Website Download as the viewer for the downloaded files, just make sure to:

• Pick a unique directory for file storage before downloading the website files to disk.
• Save your A1 Website Download project settings using File | Save Project As....

Note: You can always viewed downloaded files in your favourite file or internet browser. It is not required to save a project file after the website files download has finished.

Normally when using A1 Website Download, the Quick preset... button will be sufficient for adding or limiting file types downloaded from a website.

However, you can also manually configure which image, video, PDF etc. file type extensions you want when downloading website files to disk. You can configure this in the output filters section of A1 Website Download.



Common image, picture and photo file extensions:

• .bmp
• .jpg
• .gif
• .png

Common video and movie file extensions:

• .swf
• .wmf
• .mov
• .avi
• .mp4

Common sound and audio file extensions:

• .mp3
• .wav

Common file extensions for compressed files:

• .zip
• .rar
• .7z

Common document file extensions:

• .pdf
• .doc
• .docx

Note: Some of the above file extensions, in particular images, are already included in the default configuration of A1 Website Download.
